Payment

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes at length and cost $150 to $200 per session. You may pay with cash, check (payable to: Live Better LLC), debit/credit cards, flexible spending (FSA), or a health savings (HSA) card. Payments are due at the time of session. We use Ivy Pay for credit card payments which is HIPAA compliant. An initial request will be sent to you via text to enter your card details and authorize charge for your first payment.
This only needs to be done once.


An active credit card is required on file to process balances accrued from services rendered. This may include phone sessions, unpaid insurance claims, cancellation fees, etc. ​We keep your information on a secure HIPAA compliant portal. Your information is only visible to you. Receipts are sent upon charge

Insurance

We are in-network with Aetna

​If you have a different insurance provider, we recommend calling your insurance company to see what percentage they reimburse for out-of-network mental health outpatient psychotherapy and where you can send your receipts to. Upon request, we will email you a Superbill that has the information your insurance company

​requires to reimburse claims.

Email and Texts

Active clients get access to a portal where they can contact us using secure messaging service.
It is important that you are aware that email is not completely confidential. All emails are retained in the logs of internet service providers. While under normal circumstances no one looks at these logs, they are in theory available to be read by the system administrators of the internet service provider. If you choose to contact us by email, you are assuming all risks regarding the confidentiality of any information you send by email.

e do not provide counseling via email or text.

Appointments

Typically we would schedule to meet once a  week at a mutually agreed upon time. More frequent meetings may be arranged to facilitate intensive work, or may be recommended in order to meet current need. Similarly, we may decide to meet bi-weekly or check-in monthly based on how you are managing.

We value your time and want to ensure we are available to all our clients at the time promised. Therefore you can expect your appointment to start and end on time. You are responsible for coming to your session on time. If you are late your appointment will still need to end on time. If your therapist is able to extend time you will be notified at the beginning of session.  In the unlikely event that your therapist is running late, we will either make that time up at the end of the session or, if that is not possible, make alternative arrangements to ensure that you receive your full time. ​

Cancellations

If for some reason you are unable to make it to your appointment please provide 24 hours notice to avoid being charged for your session. Insurance providers do not cover missed appointments. We send out reminder emails 72 hours in advance. ​
